Panther Rugby Academy will once again be representing USA Rugby at the Rugby Americas North, 2024 RAN Men’s U19 International tournament, from July 10-14. The 2024 edition of this world rugby international event will be hosted by Rugby Mexico at the Universidad Autonoma de Mexico Harp Held grounds in Mexico City.

We are excited to announce John Watson (St. Louis Bombers) as our Head Coach for RAN 2024. Coach Watson has a strong history with this event and will be assisted by Sam Enari (University of Kentucky), and Jody Hensley (U23 Men’s Coach).

The roster for the tour is limited to 24 players with birth years from 2005-2007. If you are interested in being considered for the team please register your interest by completing the nomination form.

“I am humbled and privileged to lead the coming selection of players for the U19 RAN Tournament in Mexico City, Mexico,” enthuses Coach Watson. “This tournament gathers some of the top talent in North America and the Caribbean. USA Rugby South player selection will begin in earnest from recommendations as well as applications submitted through our website. Once the team is selected, preparation will continue until we arrive in Mexico. To be successful, we will need to make the most of our time upon arrival in Mexico City. A major focus will be improvement with every session, every match, and every time we gather. As long as we continue to grow together and keep moving in the same direction, we will obtain our goal. I want to thank former Panther Rugby Academy President Mark Williams for my prior opportunity and experience with USA Rugby South and the Panther Rugby Academy. Mark has had great success as the Head Coach for RAN, with two consecutive championship wins. I look forward to the challenges ahead and am ready to get to work with our talented players and coaches.”
